Kevin Denardo

Director of VDCI

Kevin leads the team at Vector Disease Control International (VDCI) as Director, responsible for managing the day-to-day operations across ground, aerial, technical, and sales divisions. With a robust background in the pest control industry, Kevin’s 25-year career spans roles from Area District Manager for Ehrlich in Michigan and Northern Ohio to President of the Michigan Pest Management Association, alongside significant contributions to mosquito control in the Midwest. His strategic involvement in acquisitions has been pivotal to his success. Kevin’s journey also includes service in the Air Force during Desert Storm/Desert Shield, concluding in 1997. Now based in Michigan with his wife and four dogs, Kevin engages in community service as a Commander of a local American Legion Post and a member of the Honor Guard rifle team, alongside hobbies in music, classic cars, and pinball restoration.

Broox Boze

Director of Technical Services

Dr. Broox Boze is the Director of Research and Innovation for Vector Disease Control International (VDCI) and has a Ph.D. from Colorado State University. As a specialist in emergency response she has developed protocols and coordinated surveillance and management operations with various local, county, state and federal organizations. In 2016 she served as the on-site coordinator to both the Virgin Islands and Marshall Islands after the emergence of Zika Virus, and in 2017 she served as the IPM Manager for VDCI’s hurricane response efforts in Florida after Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. She is the Industry Director for the American Mosquito Control Association, sits on the National Environmental Health Associations Vector Program Committee, and has worked with mosquito control programs throughout North America, in the Caribbean, West Africa, and the South Pacific

Steve Pavlovich

Director of Regional IPM

Steven Pavlovich is an Entomologist and the Director of Ground Operations for VDCI where he works with Regional Directors and Contract Managers to provide Integrated Mosquito Management programs. He has more than 30 years of experience in the Mosquito Abatement Industry with 27 years in management with VDCI and its affiliated companies and 3 years working in County Government. Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Bowling Green State University. While working as a Mosquito Biologist in Toledo, Ohio, he continued his education at BGSU and received his Master of Science specializing in Mosquito Entomology. His thesis and graduate research focused on the Biology of “The Yellow Fever” and “Asian Tiger Mosquito” which continue to be species of concern in many areas of the country VDCI serves. He holds Pest Control and Mosquito Control licenses in more than ten states and is a member of multiple professional organizations. In his spare time, Steven enjoys traveling with his family, SCUBA diving, and flying airplanes.

Michael McGaha

Chief Pilot

Born in Bountiful, Utah, and raised in a military family, he embarked on a journey that led him from the US Marine Corps to becoming a skilled pilot. His varied career includes stints as a flight instructor in Utah, flying for emergency medical services, and engaging in significant aerial missions in South America for the US State Department’s narcotics control program. Transitioning to aerial firefighting and corporate jet flying, he now holds the position of Chief Pilot at VDCI, tackling specialized missions under challenging conditions. Beyond his professional pursuits, he is an avid golfer and outdoor enthusiast, embracing every chance to be in nature.

Gary Simonton

Head Mechanic

Gary’s career in aviation began in June 1994 with his enlistment in the United States Air Force. Over 25 years, he advanced through various roles, including Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems Specialist, quality assurance, production superintendent, and culminating as a major command functional manager. His service allowed him the honor of working on notable aircraft like the F-111F, F-16C/D, E3B/C, C-130H, U-2S/ST, and the F-35. Retiring in 2019, Gary now serves as the Aerial Division Director of Maintenance, leveraging his extensive military and general aviation experience, alongside his Masters of Aeronautical Science in Safety and Management, to lead a premier aerial mosquito abatement team. Beyond his professional duties, Gary teaches Aviation Science at Eastern New Mexico University, enjoys spending time with his wife Erika of nearly 25 years, their four cats, one dog, and engages in outdoor activities and hands-on projects.

Jay Sandridge

Director, Business Development

Jay brings over a decade of expertise in Business Development within the Public Health & Safety sector, specializing in U.S. government contractual services. His focus areas include special mission aerial operations and mosquito management programs, overseeing the development and execution of proposals and contracts. Jay plays a pivotal role in strategic growth and sustains Vector Disease Control International’s (VDCI’s) enduring government partnerships.

Matt Serino

Director of Marketing

With over 15 years of professional marketing experience, Matt leads marketing, branding, and communications at VDCI. Matt graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA in 2006, and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing and a minor in art. Prior to joining VDCI, he was a member of the marketing department at Sentara Healthcare and supported the growth and branding of medical group practices throughout Virginia and Northeast North Carolina. Matt is a native of Virginia Beach and lives at the Oceanfront with his wife and two children.

Debbie Clement

Chief Financial Officer

Debbie Clement, CPA, is SOLitude’s chief financial officer with more than 25 years of experience as a financial executive. As CFO, Debbie has oversight of the company’s accounting and finance operations and coordinates the preparation of financial statements, reports, analyses and budgets. She also assists with the integration of companies that have been acquired.

Debbie is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Arkansas State University, holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Accounting. In addition to her extensive finance and accounting experience, Debbie brings experience in managing various HR functions, including payroll, employee benefits, and retirement plans.

When she is not working, Debbie enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and sweet dog, Mako Jo. For years, Debbie was the ultimate softball mom, spending her summers and falls traveling with both daughter’s teams. Now that they are both in college, she will have time to pursue other hobbies.

Debbie believes in giving back to the community that has so enriched her life, and particularly enjoys organizing charitable/giving events for local organizations/charities such as the Arkansas Foodbank and Our House Shelter.

Randy Hatfield

HR Business Partner

I began my role as the HR Business Partner for VDCI, SOLitude, and SHE in November 2023. My HR career began over 25 years ago in Knoxville, TN and I have worked in various industries to include: Mail Order Pharmacy, Retail Pharmacy, Custodial/Grounds/Maintenance Contracts in Educational settings and 3PL.

I strongly value behavior assessments as valuable tools in understanding how individuals react, respond, and handle various situations. Some key qualities that you can expect from me include being friendly, understanding, patient, and a collaborative team player. I strive to maintain consistency and thoughtfulness in my work, with a strong focus on building and nurturing positive relationships. I approach routine tasks and interactions with patience and am always eager to engage with others, whether through small talk or more meaningful conversations. I am known for being engaging, persuasive, and always open to connecting with new people.

In May of this year, I celebrated my recent marriage and currently reside in Kentucky. My blended family includes five children ranging in age from 15 to 31, and my wife, Kelly, and I each have a granddaughter. Outside of work, I enjoy woodworking and take pride in creating unique pieces that combine colored resin with locally-sourced wood.
