Sam Stines is a Regional Director for VDCI where he is responsible for overseeing mosquito abatement programs in his region. With 22 years of experience in mosquito control, Sam has held every essential position within the industry, from contract manager and biologist to Chief Operating Officer of a leading mosquito control company. Sam has designed and managed mosquito control initiatives in the Southeastern United States, while also leading successful responses to natural disasters and disease outbreaks. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of New Orleans.

With seven years of experience in the pest control industry, beginning in commercial sales, and holding a pest control license, she brings a wealth of expertise to her role. She has over 35 years of experience in sales and has lived and traveled from Alaska to Europe, cultivating a deep appreciation for culture and food. As a business development manager, she partners with clients to develop or support integrated mosquito management programs in the communities they serve. Her role involves collaborating with local governments, businesses, and organizations to implement science-based mosquito control strategies that protect public health and enhance quality of life. By leveraging advanced technologies and data-driven approaches, she helps clients create customized solutions that effectively manage mosquito populations and reduce the risk of vector-borne diseases.
